Description

Nestled in the mountainous terrain of the La Cañada region of Oaxaca in Southern Mexico is a small remote community called San Lucas Zoquiapam. Because of its specific location, it receives most of its climate from the Gulf of Mexico. That results in more rain and humidity throughout the year compared to some other parts of the region whose climate is based on the Pacific Ocean.

These conditions cause the cherry to ripen slower compared to other regions of Oaxaca and can provide some challenging processing environments, especially around drying the coffee properly. But, when things are managed correctly, they can produce some of the very best coffees in all of Mexico.

Lucky for us, the growers and producers in San Lucas Zoquiapam bring all these things together beautifully with delicate florals and a soft white grape-like acidity rounded out with the richness of dark chocolate.

Taste it and see why coffees from this region have recently gained attention by placing high in both regional coffee competitions and international cupping panels. It’s a great, well-rounded cup sure to please anyone who loves coffee.
