The risks and toxicities pertaining to silver have always been attributed to(A) extreme quantities of silver arising from (B) silver salts and (C) silver compounds, all of which may be considered non-oligodynamic silver. Non-oligodynamic silver is silver that has lost its positive electrical charge and is therefore nothing but “dead-weight” silver. Non-oligodynamic silver is devoid of any known positive bioactivity, and is in fact the only form of silver compound known to generate risks to higher organisms like human beings. On the other hand, oligodynamic silver retains a positive electrical charge by way of its (D) low concentrations, (E) low nanometer (or even sub-nanometer) particle sizes, and (F) uncanny way of suspending itself into water, rather than dissolving itself by combining with a caustic salt. In other words, the most powerful form of biologically useful silver is oligodynamic silver which cannot be made in extreme quantities.
Therefore, by definition, it would be virtually impractical for oligodynamic silver to achieve toxicity levels as determined by the Environmental Protection Agency (see charts below). The manufacturor has taken great care in establishing the safety of its silver hydrosol products by going the extra mile of insuring all batches of its products contain the purist silver particles which are: (1) extremely low in concentration (i.e., 10 ppm to 23 ppm), (2) predominantly oligodynamic in nature, (3) extremely small in size,9 to help facilitate its elimination once it has served its biologically useful purpose, and (4) devoid of salts or any other contaminants. As the silver authority Goetz stated as far back as 1940, “In view of practical applications it appears that silver is best suited as an oligodynamic material because of the extremely slight solubility of most of its salts, which fact renders it almost impossible for large concentrations of silver ions to occur in higher life organisms. This is in agreement with the authoritative medical and scientific literature over the past 80 years.
Additionally, the manufacturor has not only relied upon the good guidance of the EPA when labeling dosage amounts, but it has also employed independent third party experts to further insure product safety (see the assays below that were done by Covance Laboratories - an FDA-approved laboratory). By performing the additional studies we were finally entirely armed with respect to our own specific products’ safety. With all these studies & assays done, we are without a doubt on much firmer ground in refuting any possible allegation that our products have not been proven safe.
